Eating On Time

As part of my 2010 effort to improve my life I have decided to simplify my life by cut out all the non-essential stuff. The first area I have discovered I need to cut down on is food. I found out that I eat too much and most of the time the eating is unnecessary. It is just from habit or I am eating because it is "time to eat". I don't remember when the last time I ate because I was hungry was.
Nowadays people eat on schedule. They eat because it is time for lunch or for dinner. Most of the food we eat is unnecessary and unneeded and ends up as waste. I know I would save a lot of money if I ate only when I was hungry.
Recently my daughter, my niece and I decided to start what we called "The One Spoon Club". We made it known that whoever dishes up has dish up one spoon carbs for us. The rest should be veggies. So far my niece seems to be dropping out but I'm hoping to stick to the plan for the rest of the year.

  1. Portion control is really the key to starting a healthy diet. You are on the right track. Just refrain from any kind of "starvation" diets. These diets actually train your body to keep fat and burn muscle instead. Several small meals through the day are best so that those "hunger" pains can be managed well. Good luck and take care. ;o)

  2. I am with you on that. Just like you, I will try to portion my food intake and, hopefully, eat on time. Eating late at night has prompted my stomach to wake me up from deep sleep at 3 AM.

    It gotta stop! :)
